Control Switches Privacy Policy (January 30, 2015)

Control Switches International is dedicated to protecting your privacy and handling any personal information we obtain from you with care and respect. As used in this Privacy Policy, "CSI" refers to Control Switches International, and is referred to in this Privacy Policy as "we," "us," "our," and "ourselves."

When this Privacy Policy uses the term "personally identifiable information," we mean information that identifies a particular individual or company. These may include such things as the company or individual's name, address, e-mail, telephone number, social security number, employer identification number or other information. When other information is directly associated with personally identifiable information, this other information also is treated as personally identifiable information for purposes of this Privacy Policy.

Personally identifiable information does not include screen names (also known as member names, usernames or other online aliases) provided by you in the course of registering with or using any function of our website, except in circumstances in which we request that visitors provide their e-mail addresses as their screen names. Personally identifiable information is sometimes referred to in this Privacy Policy as "personal information." Finally, the terms of this Privacy Policy are subject to all applicable laws.

Much of the personally identifiable information we receive comes directly from visitors to this website who are interested in obtaining various products and services from us. We may also collect other types of identifying information such as payment or other information which may be associated with personally identifiable information. When you purchase products or services from us, we'll note, for example, credit card information, bank account information, the type of products ordered or purchased, and the date of the order or purchase. We may collect personal information when you register, log on, or visit our website to participate in certain promotional offers or activities and when you provide information to our customer service representatives.

Typical Ways We Collect and Use Information

Login information – When you access CSI services via a browser, application or other client our servers automatically record certain information. These server logs may include information such as your web request, your interaction with a service, Internet Protocol address, browser type, browser language, the date and time of your request and one or more cookies that may uniquely identify your browser or your account.

User communications – When you send email or other communications to CSI, we may retain those communications in order to process your inquiries, respond to your requests and improve our services.

Technology - We collect information through technology to make our sites more useful to you and for various purposes related to our business. For instance, when you come to one of our sites, we collect your IP address. An IP address is associated with the access point through which you enter the Internet, and is typically controlled by your Internet Service Provider (ISP). Standing alone, your IP address is not personally identifiable. We may use IP addresses to collect information regarding the frequency with which our visitors visit various parts of our sites, and we may combine IP addresses with personally identifiable information.

Our website collects information through a variety of technical methods, including cookies and web beacons. Cookies are pieces of information that a website sends to your computer while you are viewing the website. Web beacons are small pieces of data that are embedded in images on the pages of websites. Cookies, web beacons and other technical methods may involve the transmission of information either directly to us or to a third party authorized by us to collect information on our behalf. We use this information to improve the quality of our service, including for storing user preferences, improving search results and ad selection, and tracking user trends, such as how people search. CSI may also use cookies in its advertising services to help advertisers and publishers serve and manage ads across the web and on the CSI website.

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. ("Google"). Google Analytics uses "cookies", which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyze how users use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website (including your IP address) will be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity for website operators and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage. Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law, or where such third parties process the information on Google's behalf. Google will not associate your IP address with any other data held by Google. You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser, however please note that if you do this you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website. By using this website, you consent to the processing of data about you by Google in the manner and for the purposes set out above.

CSI may use the information collected through these technical methods for many purposes, including delivering content, tracking and enhancing a visitor’s experience on our website. For example, when you return to one of our websites after logging in, cookies provide information to the site so that the site will remember who you are. We also use technical methods to analyze the traffic patterns on our website, such as the frequency with which users visit parts of our website. In HTML e-mails, we may use technical methods for a number of purposes, including: to determine whether our visitors have opened or forwarded those e-mails and/or clicked on links in those e-mails, to customize the display of banner advertisements and other messages after a guest has closed the e-mail, and to determine whether a guest has made an inquiry or purchase in response to a particular e-mail. These methods may enable us to collect and use information in a form that is personally identifiable.

Information from Others - We may update and supplement personally identifiable information that we have collected directly from our visitors with other information that we obtain from third parties. We may obtain personally identifiable information about individuals who are not yet users of our website. In addition, when we associate information that we obtain from third parties, we will treat the acquired information like the information that we collected ourselves and, except as permitted by this Privacy Policy, the information will not be shared with third parties.

CSI may use your personally identifiable information in many ways, including sending you promotional materials. (By "promotional materials," we mean communications that directly promote the use of our website, or the purchase of products or services.) Before we use your information in a manner different than the purposes we’ve described, we will ask for your consent.

Rules for Sharing and Use of Information

Personally identifiable information collected under this Privacy Policy is shared internally and used by CSI for many purposes. For example, CSI may use your personal information to send you promotional materials about goods and services (including special offers and promotions) offered by CSI. These promotional materials may be sent to you by mail, e-mail or other means. You may opt-out of receiving these communications as provided below.

CSI may also use your personal information for many purposes other than sending you promotional materials. (We refer to all of these types of uses of your personal information that do not involve the sending of promotional materials as "Operational Uses.") For example, we may use your information to complete transactions requested by you (such as your purchase of a product or service offered on our website), or to send you administrative communications either about your account or about features of our website, including any future changes to this Privacy Policy. Because these uses of your personal information do not involve sending you promotional materials your opting-out will not apply to any of these Operational Uses.

Information Security

We take appropriate security measures to protect against unauthorized access to or unauthorized alteration, disclosure or destruction of data. These include internal reviews of our data collection, storage and processing practices and security measures, including appropriate encryption and physical security measures to guard against unauthorized access to systems where we store personal data.

We restrict access to personal information only to CSI employees, contractors and agents who need to know that information in order to process it on our behalf. These individuals are bound by confidentiality obligations and may be subject to discipline, including termination and criminal prosecution, if they fail to meet these obligations.

Companies That Facilitate Communications and Transactions

CSI may hire companies to help provide products or services, like a shipping company that delivers a package or a merchant processing service (“Fulfillment Services”). In those instances, there is a need to share your information with these companies. Your opt-out choices will not apply to sharing by CSI of your personal information with any of these companies. Nonetheless, except as separately permitted by other provisions of this Privacy Policy, these companies are allowed to gather, receive, and use your information only for the purposes described in this paragraph or to facilitate compliance with laws.

Purchase or Sale of Businesses

From time to time, we may purchase a business or sell one or more of our businesses (or portions thereof) and your personally identifiable information may be transferred as a part of the purchase or sale. In the event that we purchase a business, the personally identifiable information received with that business would be treated in accordance with this Privacy Policy, if it is practicable and permissible to do so. In the event that we sell a business, we will include provisions in the selling contract requiring the purchaser to treat your personally identifiable information in the same manner required by this Privacy Policy (including any amendments to this Privacy Policy). In light of this protection, your opt-out choices will not affect our right to transfer your information to a purchaser in these circumstances.

Disclosures to Comply With Law and to Protect Security and Safety

Regardless of any opt-out choices that you make, CSI will disclose personal information when it believes in good faith that such disclosures (a) facilitate compliance with laws, including, for example, compliance with a court order or subpoena, or (b) will help to: enforce our Terms of Use; protect your safety or security, including the safety and security of property; and/or, protect the safety and security of our Website, CSI, and/or third parties, including the safety and security of property belonging to CSI or third parties.

A Special Note about Children

Children are not eligible to use CSI’s services, and we ask that minors not submit any personal information to us. If you are a minor, you may use this service only in conjunction with a parent or guardian.

Do Not Track

CSI does not collect Geo-location information and does not track customers over time or across third party websites to provide targeted advertising and therefore does not respond to Do Not Track (DNT) signals. However, some third party sites do keep track of your browsing activities when they serve you content, which enables them to tailor what they present to you. If you are visiting such sites, your browser may allow you to set the DNT signal so that third parties know you do not want to be tracked.

Opting-Out

With regard to personal information that you have provided under this Privacy Policy, this information is not shared with third parties except as provided in herein nor do we currently use your information for marketing purposes and an opt-out choice is not currently available to you. In the future, CSI may, in its sole discretion determine to use provided information for internal uses included for marketing of its own products, improving the use of the website and enhancing your visit to the website. Where information provided is used for internal marketing purposes, an opt-out option will be made available. An opt-out choice is the means by which you give us, or decline to give us, your consent to use your personal information. Please note that opting out may limit or prohibit your use of some or all of the online features of the CSI website.

You may choose to opt-out of receiving promotional materials from CSI. For your convenience, when you make a choice regarding this opt-out, we will treat that choice as replacing any other choices regarding any opt-out that you may previously have made. Please keep in mind that any opt-out choice you make will not apply in situations where (a) you either have made, simultaneously make, or later make a specific request for information from CSI, (b) CSI uses your personal information for either "Operational Uses" or "Fulfillment Uses" (as described above) (c) you either have engaged, simultaneously engage, or later engage in either Non-Registered Transactions or (d) CSI shares your personal information with respect to "Purchase or Sale of Businesses," or "Disclosures to Comply with Law and to Protect Security and Safety, CSI and Others." Also, any opt-out choice you make will not apply to personal information that you provide about other persons, but these other persons will also have the opportunity to opt-out of receiving promotional materials.

It may take up to ninety (90) days for your opt-out choice to be fully effective. Our systems require time to update, and promotional mailings using your personal information shared before your opt-out may already be in process. Finally, please keep in mind that, if you have not consistently used the same postal and email addresses on our website, or if you have used a general change of address process (such as the change of address process offered by the U.S. Post Office) after providing address information on our website, systems maintained by CSI may have varying contact information for you. Accordingly, it may not always be possible to match your new opt-out choice with your personal information that you previously provided.

The security and confidentiality of your information is extremely important to us. We have implemented technical, administrative, and physical security measures to protect your information from unauthorized access and improper use. From time to time, we review our security procedures in order to consider appropriate new technology and methods. Please be aware though that, despite our best efforts, no security measures are perfect or impenetrable.

You can access and update the contact information you have given us (that is, your postal address, e-mail address, or any other information that would directly enable us to contact you), or modify your opt-out choices, by contacting our office. You can contact us via e-mail at csiinfo@controlswitches.com. Please include information in the e-mail that will help us identify your account so we can assist you with your request. We may also provide you an opportunity to update your contact information and/or modify your opt-out choice by sending you an e-mail or other communication that invites your response. Finally, you may unsubscribe from certain email communications by clicking on unsubscribe links in those e-mails.

If you have questions or wish to send us comments about this Privacy Policy, please send an email with your questions or comments to csiinfo@controlswitches.com or write us: CSI, Inc., 2425 Mira Mar Avenue, Long Beach CA 90815.

Please be assured that any personal information that you provide in communications to the above e-mail and postal mail addresses will not be used to send you promotional materials, unless you so request.

Please note that this Privacy Policy may change from time to time. We will not reduce your rights under this Privacy Policy without your consent. We will post any Privacy Policy changes on this page and, if the changes are significant, we will provide a more prominent notice (including, for certain services, email notification of Privacy Policy changes). We will also keep prior versions of this Privacy Policy in an archive for review.
